This daughterboard converts digital RGB signals in various formats, as well as special medical video signals, into 3G-SDI signals compliant with broadcast standards, allowing for image transfer over a single line. By transferring via 3G-SDI signals, it can be transmitted using a single coaxial cable, and existing commercial products such as matrices, splitters, and extenders from various manufacturers can be used, enabling long-distance transmission. Control data can also be transmitted simultaneously. The output signal and input signal are isolated by a phot coupler, and the withstand voltage of the external power supply for output is a maximum of 36V. The communication protocol can be selected between I2C or SPI. The input signal is turned on/off by the current flowing through the phot coupler. ◆ Features Input Section ◎ Wide Input Voltage Range The voltage of the input signal can be specified as 5V, 12V, 24V, or 36V, which will be set at the time of shipment. Output Section ◎ High Voltage and High Output Current The output section covers a wide range of voltages from 5V to 36V using FETs. The power supply is provided externally. Common Section ◎ Isolation from External Sources The internal circuit is electrically isolated from the external circuit by the phot coupler, preventing malfunctions or electrical damage caused by abnormal voltages, noise, or ground level fluctuations from outside. ◎ Board Size Same size as Raspberry Pi 3 MODEL-B and Raspberry Pi 2 MODEL-B. ◎ Connection with Raspberry Pi Connect to the 40-pin (GPIO) of the Raspberry Pi and communicate via I2C or SPI. ◎ When connecting to the 40-pin connector of the Raspberry Pi, an MPC-RASST may be required as an intermediary board.
